MyHealth Portal Campaign

Goals:

  • Increase the hospital patient portal adoption rate

  • Increase engagement for patients to pay their bills, schedule appointments and review personal results through the portal

Strategy:

The MyHealth Portal campaign was created with the thought of keeping this campaign long term. We wanted multiple ways to continue informing new and old patients about the portal and services it provides. The campaign includes rack cards, posters, pop up banners, digital ads and an email campaign with our CRM management system. We meet the patients/visitors where  they are in their health care journey with information about taking control of their information and utilizing this free resource. The emails have been the most measurable piece in the campaign. We send a set of three emails (with CRM data) over the course of three weeks from the patient/visitors last occurrence at Parrish Medical Center. Each email provides information to our patrons and gives them the tools for getting started or receiving help to register. After researching and reading case studies this has proven to be the most effective for other health care systems, too. It's important that our patients control and guide their health care journey, it's a privilege for employees to help and support along the way.

Results:
  • From 2018-2020 (when the campaign was implemented) portal adoption rates were up collectively 16% compared to 2017 rates

  • The campaign received an average of 45% open rate
